Willie appears to have lived a very modest life and in the words of some who remember the term

POOR AS A CROW

was often used.

It is under that prerogative that I wish for no one to benefit from his work other than to see it viewed and appreciated and that some at least treasure his efforts made in circumstances that were far from optimum in his time.

This is an invaluable history of Stonehaven and Scottish fishing port life in the mid 1900's.

I hope many of you appreciate these as much as I do.
